METROPOLIS - A 2-year-old Massac County boy drowned in a relative's pool Wednesday evening, according to the Massac County coroner's office.

Seth Warren Robertson was pronounced dead just before 6:30 p.m. at Massac Memorial Hospital.

Deputy Coroner Greg Russell said the boy was at the home of relatives and had been submerged for about 15 minutes before family realized he was missing and found him in the above-ground pool.

It appears the adults were inside when the child went into the pool. Family members tried to resuscitate Seth, Russell said, adding he wasn't aware of any further investigation into the matter.

Survivors include the parents, Matthew and Tammy Robertson. Aikins-Farmer Funeral Home is handling arrangements. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Mount Sterling Cemetery, the Rev. Raynarldo Henderson officiating.
