UNION COUNTY - A missing Oswego man was identified Thursday as being the body found in Giant City State Park on Monday.

Ralph Constantine, 55, died of an apparent self-inflicted gun-shot wound to the head, said Union County Coroner Darryl Rendleman.

He had been reported missing from Oswego, in northern Illinois, since Sunday, Nov. 9. Oswego police officials said the man's wife notified them friends, family and his employer was not able to reach him.

His vehicle was found near the scene on Sunday, Nov. 16 and his body was discovered on Monday.
