MURPHYSBORO - Murphysboro police arrested two men early Monday on charges of burglary after allegedly finding them trying to flee a residence.

Robert J. Moutria, 20, and Drew Clinton, 22, both of Murphysboro were charged with burglary, criminal damage to property and resisting arrest when officers stopped an alleged burglary in progress at approximately 4:06 a.m. in the 2000 block of Alexander Street in Murphysboro.

A third, unidentified suspect ran west into Riverside Park and could not be found, police said.

Moutria and Clinton were taken to Jackson County Jail.
