The Delta Regional Authority has announced its grants for 2008. More than $648,000 will go toward projects in Southern Illinois:
-$6,225 to Southern Illinois Regional Planning and Development Commission to upgrade the commission's loan servicing software.
-$67,578 to Southeastern Illinois College Foundation to provide special pediatric training to nursing stu-dents.
-$148,966 to the city of Marion for a water tower and pumping station project.
-$22,872 to the city of Mounds for fiber optic infrastructure in the city's business center.
-$100,000 to Pulaski County Development Association to construct a facility in the SISCO Regional Indus-trial Park.
-$45,000 to the city of West Frankfort for installation of fiber optic cable in the city's industrial park.
-$165,752 to the city of Pinckneyville for water improvements needs to improve fire protection at local industrial facilities.
-$92,200 to Crab Orchard and Egyptian Railroad for improvements needed to serve area industries.
