Southern Illinois University and Evansville's baseball game today was rained out. The two will play a doubleheader beginning at noon Friday and end Saturday with a 1 p.m. first pitch at Abe Martin Field.

SIU (29-21, 9-12 MVC) must sweep the series to have a chance to win the fifth spot in next week's Missouri Valley Conference tournament. Evansville (14-39, 4-17) has lost its last two games.

SIU will honor its seven seniors prior to Saturday's game.
