Corner Dance Hall to offer public dance lessons

WHITTINGTON — If your New Year’s resolution is to learn how to cut a rug with a little more grace, the Corner Dance Hall is going to help you out.

Beginning Jan. 12, in conjunction with Rend Lake College, the dance hall will begin offering ballroom dancing classes designed for individuals with little or no dance experience. The classes are also appropriate for experienced dancers who wish to polish their dancing skills and enjoy the healthful aspects of ballroom dancing. You’ll learn to waltz, cha cha, fox trot, East Coast swing, rumba and jitterbug.

Classes are $5. There is no need for advanced registra-tion. The Corner Dance Hall is at 200 Franklin St. For more information, call 629-2319.
