" I'm just wondering where the illustrious Gary Forby is through all of this... what about all the jobs and benefits he's brought Southern Illinois.. I guess him and his good pal Gov Blogo will make a few extra bucks this year with the money saved from the parks being closed and the job cuts from other agencies. "

" [sleep in your bed]
As the old saying goes, sleep in your bed. Out of the union officials and Reps smashing Blagojevich, SHUT UP! You are the people that were donating money, having fundraisers and helping him get elected. You new the dangers of what he was capable of, but he is democrat. He cares for the working people. When are the people of this country going to get it. Times have changed, democrats are not for the working people and neither are republicans. All either party cares about is how to keep their position and get themselves and friends rich! If anyone still votes a straight ticket in this country they have to be insane. I know we don't have the "strait ticket" in Illinois, but going in a voting for all of the same party is the same. The only way we are going to get our country back is to run a campaign against all incumbents. No matter what your political affiliation is, DO NOT VOTE FOR THE INCUMBENT. I can promis you if we can get 25-35% of the incumbents beat this election it will send a message to Springfield and DC. Either do your job or you will be GONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! "

" Goverment is to big. That is the reason our taxas are so high. I agree with No BS make these parks self supporting. Goverment has got so big that the public can't hardley afford it any more. And DCFS. what I read and hear they are almost a joke. Police officers and some public officals that i have talked to says they have on respect for them. The only reason they deal with them is because the law says they have to. "

" The problem is we are already paying for them and they should be left open to provide outdoor activites. Our governor has been bent on cutting the IDNR staff for several years and he keeps cutting more and more. It's got to stop sometime! "

" "Flider said the closure of Wolf Creek State Park in his district would have a major impact on businesses that rely on the 400,000 visitors who use the facility."
What's the big deal? Introduce user fee $1 per visitor per visit. That's $400,000 annually. Surely it could cover the operational costs of the Wolf Creek State Park? "
