barack obama has done a big fat goose

of making the "VA for vets". not to mention the balogny man cutting jobs in
IL. If that's the way he will run the country, we don't need him! "

" I don’t give a flip about BRAD Burzynski and his awards from DeKalb County (Smells like Chicago to me). What has KEN done, he is the Burzynski on our ballot this November. If you want to compare the brotherly connection, I guess they are alike, both Burzynski’s received their education from downstate IL and high tailed it out of here. They spent the greater part of their lives paying taxes and contributing to the economy elsewhere. Oh, yes Southern IL is their home town, but did they contribute anything here after completing their downstate educations. NO! Well, Ken did came back 40+ years later to “help out” our economy by opening a few junk stores on the town square. Thank you Ken, you give the term “One man’s junk is another man’s treasure” a whole new meaning, but what YOUR selling I’m not buying. And don’t even try to name your former position at FREDCO as something of significance you have given back to this community. We all know that Franklin County lost more grant money under your control than it gained. "

" I totally disagree. Saying that Forby is a puppet of Chicago is saying that he's a Chicago senator. Saying he's a puppet is saying he's controlled by Chicago, which he isn't. What couldn't be further from the truth is to say that Forby is controlled by Chicago. If he is so would Burzynski who would vote in-line with his Chicago politician senator brother.
I agree distance has nothing to do with it, but you were the one trying to prove Brad Burzynski's un-Chicagoness by mentioning his birthplace and childhood. I was only saying if that's the case, then Forby is no where near a Chicago politician. Yes, you're right distance has nothing to do with it, but location does and Brad Burzynski's district is less than an hours drive from the Sears Tower.
I wouldn't constitute reading Brad Burzynski's website as research. Or at least not as objective research. That's like saying you know Wal-Mart has the cheapest prices cause you read it on their website. Just doesn't work that way. "

" I have spent a great deal of time researching Mr. Burzinski, and I have to say, there is not way I'm going to take a chance on him. If he's very educated and won lots of awards, that's very good, I applaud him. But he doesn't need to be representing the 59th District. That's a matter of fact. "

" Thank you for agreeing that Senator Forby is not a St. Louis Senator, thereby agreeing that Burzynski is not a Chicago Senator.
My comment was, "Burzynski is no more of a Chicago State Senator than Forby is a St. Louis state senator," Thank you for agreeing.
My point is that distance from a specific location doesn't constitute a relation to that location. One of the most conservative legislatures (Henry Hyde) in history was geographically closer to Chicago than Sen. Burzynski.
I don't think no one is saying Forby is a Chicago Politician. However, everyone is saying that he is a puppet of Chicago politicians - there is a huge difference. But on the other hand, people are saying the Burzynski's are chicago politicans which couldn't be anything further from the truth.
And I didn't see Foxnews cover this, I researched it myself, sir. Just because I live down here with my "hillbilly forby" values doesn't mean I (or the majority of the electorate) is as ignorant or dumb as he. "

" Yes innerthoughts let's get real. Forby is no more a Chicago state senator than he is a STL state senator. For that matter, last time I checked STL was in a different state all together. So yes, let's get real. I'm glad you agree that Burzynski's brother is a state senator from Chicago, however. His carpetbagger ability doesn't change the fact that his current district is less than an hours drive from the Sears Tower. If anyone has connections to Chicago, it's the Burzynski's.
Name all the awards you want, doesn't change the fact that Brad is a Chicago politician. If being born in Southern Illinios is all that's required not to be a Chicago politician, then certainly Forby who was born in Union County, even farther from Chicago than CHRISTOPHER!! couldn't possibly be one either.
Fact of the matter is Republicans want to say Forby's tied to Chicago when their own candidate has a brother (who apparently also wins lots of awards for being a good Chicago politician) that's a Chicago politician and has more ties to Northern Values than anything remotely to hillbilly Forby. Nice try innerthoughts, but turn off Fox News. "

" Burzynski is no more of a Chicago State Senator than Forby is a St. Louis state senator, let's get real:
Ken Burzynski's Brother - Senator Brad Burzynski, graduated from Rend Lake College and Illinois Wesleyan (both downstate colleges), he was a school teacher in Pinckneyville, and was Farm Bureau Manager for Clark and Clinton counties (both downstate!)
And just for the fun, let me announce the awards he's received (as listed on his website) and you tell me how many of them sound like awards a downstate legislator would get opposed to a chicago one:
Outstanding Legislator 2006 - Regional Access & Mobilization Project
Honorary FFA Degree
IL Chamber of Commerce Champion of Free Enterprise Award
IL Rural Health Association Leadership Award
IL Public Transportation Legislator of Year
Friend of Education, Illinois Association of Regional Superintendents of Schools
Voice of Employers
DeKalb County Family Service Agency
DeKalb County Social Workers
Northern Illinois University School of Nursing
Statewide Coalition on Human Services
Illinois Farm Bureau Friend of Agriculture
MRF Outstanding Legislator
Illinois Academy of Physician Assistants' Legislator of Year
Illinois Sheriffs' Association Recognition Award
Voice of Employers-Management  Association of IL
National Federation of Independent Business "Guardian of Small Business Award"
Illinois Speech-Language-Hearing Association Distinguished Contributions Award
Family PAC Special Achievement Award
Illinois Optometry Association Legislator of the Year
IL Manufactured Homes  Association Legislator of the Year
Illinois Nurses' Association Legislator of the Year
IL Retired Teachers' Association
Northern IL Veterans' Activities Committee Award of Appreciation
And let's not forget he was born in CHRISTOPHER!!! Yep, that's a chicago politican for you. So, please, let's try to stick to substance opposed to "his brother is a chicago politician, so he must be one too!" Let's get real. "

I'm hoping no one leaving comments on here has been to the Miner's games in Marion. That place wouldn't be possible without Forby. If that means being chums with Chicago then so be it. But it would never have been possible with a Republican in that senate seat.
The empty suit il-citizen is referring to must be George W. Bush, the greatest president to ever serve. Funny how we're not allowed to mention Bush when talking politics anymore. "

Here is a guy who did not graduate high school promoting a presidential candidate with a Harvard degree. Only in Southern Illinois! This is just too funny to be true but sadly it is! Is there any reason why Forby has not been asked to comment on his old pal Barry Kohl? Did Forby have anything to do with Kohl getting an early release from prison? I'd be more interested in those thoughts than I would this imbicile's thoughts on Obama. "
