BENTON - Friends and family are rallying around a Benton man and his loved ones in their time of need.
A poker run Saturday, July 26, will help with expenses incurred by the lengthy hospitalization of Trent Terry. Terry, part owner of Terry's Jaguar Parts in Benton and a race car driver, received major injuries in a motorcycle crash June 22 in Marion. Terry has been in the intensive care unit of St. Louis University Hospital since the crash.
"He has been making small improvements every day, but he has a long road to recovery," coworker and friend Don Hopkins said. "The family welcomes all thoughts and prayers."
Friends have organized the poker run to help Terry's family with expenses as they stay in St. Louis for his recovery said Shelly Ing, one of the benefit's organizers.
The run will start at Sandy's Bar & Grill in Benton and will make stops at several Franklin County bars before a dinner and auction at the American Legion, also in Benton.
