Presidential paraphernalia on display

SOUTHERN ILLINOIS - Union County Museum and John A. Logan Museum are teaming up to sponsor displays on presidential campaign memorabilia.

Union County Museum will open from noon to 5 p.m. Saturday to feature items of presidential memorabilia. It will feature items from nearly every presidential campaign dating back to the early 1800s. The feature will include buttons, posters, plates and ribbons.

John A. Logan Museum will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, July 12, to present artifacts from the 1884 election. This political period held the contest of James Blaine and vice president candidate John A. Logan against Grover Cleveland.

The exhibits have been inspired by the upcoming presidential election and will be open until the end of November
