BY KAREN BINDER, The Southern
Thursday, March 27, 2008 2:47 PM CDT
The Travel Channel will be featuring the 17th Street Bar & Grill location in O’Fallon on a new show called “Barbecue Paradise.”

Portions of the show were filmed at the Memphis Championship Barbecue, Mills’s Vegas operation. The show will air at 7:00 p.m. next Wednesday.

There will be a viewing party at the Murphysboro, Marion, and O’Fallon locations starting at 6:30 p.m.

Mills’s ribs were named Best Ribs in America in the September 2007 issue of Bon Appetit magazine and the restaurant was featured on their Food Network Special, Bon Appetit Picks the Best.

Other accolades include the Best of Vegas People’s Choice award from the Las Vegas Review-Journal. Champion pitmaster Mike Mills is a member of the Apple City Barbecue team, which is a four-time World Champion and three-time Grand World Champion of Memphis in May. Mills’s book, Peace, Love, and Barbecue, was nominated for a 2006 James Beard Award and was named the 2006 National Barbecue Association Book of the Year.

" So is the show going to highlight the topless swinger parties at his house during the summer time? "
